The entry period for the 2016 Great Knaresborough Bed Race closed on 29 February. No further entries for this year's event will be accepted. The organisers, the Knaresborough Lions Club, say that a few more entries than the 90 maximum places were received so a public lottery will be required to decide the final line-up.
